Our first Christmas!

Merry first Christmas to the 2View Shop!

What song best describes your holiday/Christmas experience?

I vibe hard with "Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer". I'm obviously the grandma and my never ending to do list is the reindeer!

Does anyone else just like black out beginning of November thru New Years? Most years I've worked in retail during the holidays. Everyone who's worked retail knows just how awful that experience can be. I'm not sure where we all get the energy to get through the holidays, but we're all superheroes. This year is my first year with an online shop which has brought it's own set of stressors. Every stressor has been worth it so far.

Every time I stress over anything business related I either get a new product in the mail or pack an order and absolutely swoon over the things I've been created recently. Honestly nothing makes me happier than seeing my work printed. See photos above. It's the ultimate warm and fuzzy feeling. This isn't a new discovery, though.

Ever since I became a photographer a session isn't complete (in my mind) until it's printed. It's always been why I do what I do. Art is everywhere. Unless you stop and think about it, it's easy to take it for granted. It's just amazing to see what I envisioned being brought to life in physical forms. Whether it's hanging up your family photos or sending your friends/family a card. I'm so thankful for everyone who orders from shop, scheduled a session, and supporting me in whatever else I do.

This holiday season has also been one of my busiest for baking orders. A friend from back home and I started a baking adventure 7ish years ago. We started baking kringla for local farmer's markets and events. I've moved away from home, but open up baking orders a few times a year. As busy and worn out I am by the end of the season I can't see my holiday season without baking a ton. My ideal Christmas is warm, cozy, and filled with multi colored lights. My house smells like fresh baked goods constantly for a month. It's heavenly!

If you're an Iowa local person I will be at the Electric Park Ballroom in Waterloo on Sunday, December 12 from 9:30am-3pm. There's a handcrafted market going on and I will have a booth set up!

I have all of the holiday cards in stock and they ship within 2 days of ordering! You can still order anything from the shop, I can't guarantee anything to arrive by Christmas that says it ships within 2 weeks on the product description.

I hope everyone has a safe holiday season!
